Driving in NY

I am excited to post today and let you all know that I officially drove in New York City- without an accompanying adult, and with two children in the back seat.  Was this an easy task?  Absolutely not!  Did I almost kill my small family, along with 2 different pedestrians?  You bet.  For what purpose did I venture out?  you may ask...  No other reason than that I missed my old stomping grounds- Target and Old Navy!
I really needed to buy a few odds and ends and could not bare the thought of carrying my loot back with the children on the subway.  So, there you have it.  I am very proud of myself, despite the few curse words I murmured under my breath.

It was funny~  I told Evy that we would be driving for about 15 minutes and that she was not to communicate with me, if at all possible because I really needed to concentrate.  I told Dane the same thing; unfortunately, he doesn't understand English yet. Poor things!  I heard Evy singing to herself~  "Jesus wants me for a sun beep!"  Dane did his usual thing- CRY.  He just does not like the car.  Good thing we don't have to drive too many places.  It was an exciting day, but for now, I'll stick to walking.
