Nancy and Herb (Blake’s parents) came to town this week and we had such a wonderful visit with them. Evelyn could not contain her joy in Manhattan as Grandma and Grandpa spoiled her by taking her to FAO Schwartz and Build A Bear. She made a cute little pink bear named Hurley Girly. Not sure if she named the bear, or if Herb did that for her!
We enjoyed walking around Greenwich Village, in search of Magnolia Bakery (famous for cupcakes). Union Square was noisy and busy, but fun to check out the fantastic market.
We tried out a few new restaurants, and then some of which we were already big fans (see Grimaldi’s Pizza pictured below!) Some of the days were bright and sunny, others were very cold. We had a fun time at the New York Aquarium on Coney Island on one of those cold days. We walked around Seaport Pier and the Brooklyn Bridge on one of the warm days. You see, all of you potential visitors… there is fun to be had no matter the weather around here!
We always have so much fun when Grandma and Grandpa come to visit. They are wonderful people and we are so grateful for them! We are so blessed to have such an amazing extended family. We sure love when they come to visit!!
