My sis had her birthday on Saturday- and so we had a little family celebration. We took the kids roller-skating at this great rink where you are allowed to bring strollers onto the floor. I know what you’re thinking…. dorky! But really, it’s hard to come up with fun indoor family activities that children and adults can all enjoy. We love to bowl- and then roller skating is just another one of those activities that we all agree is fun. Our family is kind of nerdy like that. The kids loved it.
Afterwards, we headed home for BUNCO and fondue. My Mom had collected wonderful prizes and it was fun spending time with the whole family—minus Blake. We’ve really missed that guy!
I was glad we had the chance to celebrate with Jamie. She is one year younger than me- and the dearest friend a gal could ever ask for. It’s really hard living so far apart. I’ve really been putting pressure on all of my siblings to come out and visit us this year. Hey, it’s free room and board! Not too shabby a deal for a trip to NYC.
