Nancy and I were inspired by this season’s Bachelor to check out LegoLand. Neither of us had ever been and it looked really fun on the show—so we decided it would be a good thing to do with the kids. And it really was. A lot less overwhelming than Disneyland—although still a huge park. I loved that there were many playground features, besides all of the rides-- and a water park area as well. Evelyn loved the roller coasters. I thought the Lego Miniland was fascinating. They had constructed US cities all with legos- NY, Las Vegas, San Fran, LA, DC—it was really cool to see. Both kids loved building small cars out of legos and then racing them down the ramps—we concluded at the end of the day that we could have saved a lot of money had we only just brought out Troy’s big box of legos stored in the closet and dumped them on the floor for the Evy and Dane. They just really enjoyed building and constructing.
