We just returned home from our wonderful visit to Washington. It was so great to spend time with my parents and siblings. The kids enjoyed having space to roam and so many adults to entertain them. I enjoyed the company and the break from city life. I’ll admit, it was hard to return to New York. My family was so helpful and at a time when I really needed this help—it meant a lot! I was able to spend time with every one of my four siblings (they all live in the area). The kids enjoyed all sorts of activities that were a part of my growing up experience; ie., strawberry picking, camp outs, fourth of july parades, and so on. It was fun to watch them every bit as excited as I was at their age!
One funny note, as we were descending down into the Seattle area, Evelyn saw the Space Needle from her window. She exclaimed loudly… “look Mom! The Statue of Space!!” She was close ☺
I can’t thank my family enough for all that they did to make our trip a special one to remember.
