Today at the grocery store I asked the store clerk where I might find canned pumpkins. He replied:
“It’s not the season yet for pumpkin baking, mam, so we aren’t carrying it.”
Not yet the season? Then why I have been baking and consuming pumpkin cupcakes, cookies, bread, etc. etc. non-stop for the past month??
I love baking fall treats with apples and pumpkins. And even though I know Fall doesn’t officially start until the third week of September, that just isn’t long enough in my view—so I always begin the fall festivities right around Labor Day.
Pictured are a few fall crafts the kids have been up to. Apple stamping, painting with mums. Super easy! And then these delicious pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese frosting… I’ll post the recipe soon.
