Surprise!

Grandma and Grandpa drove down from Orange County before Easter and surprised the kids with a wonderful Easter egg hunt.  It was so cute.

And just for the record, my little Dane loves Easter egg hunts more than anything else on earth.  Truly, Easter is his favorite holiday and there is not a month that goes by that he doesn’t request a “hunt”.  And he’ll put on his own little egg hunts as well.  Filling old plastic eggs with goldfish crackers or raisins, he’ll hide them all over the house for Grant and Evelyn to find.  He’s such a funny kid.

So it was that the I let the kids know we had a fun day in store for us, but didn’t discuss any further.  They were tortured all morning!  And then when we arrived at the park, they were disappointed!  “this is where we’re going today?”  Ha! I quickly retorted, “well…you never know what you might do at a park, and you never know who you might see at the park.”  That’s when Evelyn spotted Grandma in bunny ears and Grandpa in matching bright yellow spring attire.  Fun times were had by all as the kids searched for eggs and Easter baskets.  They were spoiled, but had such a wonderful day.  Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!
