A very special day on June 10th… we blessed our
little Anna Paige in the presence of loved ones whom we adore! Loved ones who
drove/ flew great distances to share the day with us. It was perfect
to have my parents here for the weekend--- Papa had the chance to meet Anna and then both Grammy and Papa spent some
quality time with the kids at SeaWorld, parks and at the pool. My Mom helped clean house and prepare
our luncheon for Sunday. I was so
grateful for her presence!
On Sunday, Blake’s family, both immediate and extended drove
from all corners of California to see Anna. It was wonderful to have them all here and we truly treasured
the day beyond words. Anna’s
blessing was sweet, heart-felt, and significant…. and that’s not to mention the
fact that I could actually concentrate this time! Other children of mine have not been so very
cooperative. My heart was full
with love for Anna… and for her father.
Our luncheon afterward was a tremendous success, if I do say so
myself. And I can say that because
I hardly had a thing to do with it!
Grammy and Grandma did most of it! And Geraldine financially contributed…
which helped a great deal. We ate
BBQ pulled pork, celebrated Betty Jean’s birthday, opened up presents for
little Anna and enjoyed one another’s company. I wish so much that I had taken a group photograph. What was I thinking??
Before closing this post, must mention the beautiful
blessing dress that my Mother created.
I asked for a very simple dress….and I think it turned out beautifully!
