Grandma and Grandpa's Christmas Party!

Grandma always throws a brilliant Christmas party this time of year and of course, my camera battery died about two seconds into the whole thing, so my pictures are limited and poor quality!  Next year I’ll do better!  But we just had such a special day together.  We began with a big game of flag football... many times we’d find Grant with a football in one hand and a couple of flags in the other hand.  The kid was a maniac out there!  And of course, our little Dane was keeping meticulous score as the whole thing went down.  Fun for the kids to see their Daddy, Aunt Stac, Uncle Troy, Mom, Grandma and Grandpa all playing together.... I think this must be a kids dream!  Afterward we participated in a California snowball fight!!! Grandma’s idea to fill nylon stockings with flour and then tie off to create little “snowballs”.  So much more fun then an actual snowball fight, in my opinion!  Much less cold and that’s the way I like it!!  We got pretty dirty out there and had a great time.

We enjoyed playing a few “minute to win it” Christmas games and Christmas Rollick-- reverse charades!  The kids put on a little performance about the true meaning of Christmas and Evelyn sang “Silent Night”.  We opened up Grandma and Grandpa’s generous presents.  Then we enjoyed Grandpa’s delicious prime rib... or as the kids term it “Grandpa’s chicken”.  YUM.  We went caroling and ding dong ditching and then walked around Candy Cane Lane to see the lights and have hot cocoa.  Our very fun evening ended with a viewing of Elf in our pajamas.... we couldn’t believe that Grandma and Grandpa had not seen it!  It was so much fun and a day the kids will not soon forget!
