A few pictures from the month of January:
Our extended family from Los Angeles came down for a visit this month and we enjoyed having them to our home very much. So fun to see Geraldine and spend a bit of time talking with her, having lunch and the kids showing off all of their stunts and antics! Fun to see our little cousin May who is a year older than Anna and we rarely get to visit with!
Sea World passes have already come in handy! It’s so nice to be able to hop in the car and arrive at Sea world within 25 minutes… the shows, the rides, the sea life! So fun to have Grandma along this month! We talked her into getting the pass along with us!
Evelyn, Dane and Grant have a green thumb. I’m not sure where they inherited it from? I certainly have little interest, I’m embarrassed to say! But Papa is an excellent gardner and Grandpa Ed was also amazing at gardening! So, it must run in our gene pool. The kids have had a blast planting tomato and pumpkin plants this month. We are studying and planning out what will come next. Maybe strawberries?
Our Friday night at Ikea…. Blake’s least favorite place to be! The kids are getting so much easier to take out in public. I think I only pulled out a few of my hairs on this particular evening!
I’m sad that our church just transitioned over to the 1pm time slot. It used to be 9 am and oh, how we loved the afternoons! Going on hikes, visiting the beach to walk (not swim) the beautiful sandy paths. It was just so much fun! And now we get home and it’s dark out. Bummer! But this summer we will take advantage again as the days last a bit longer. As our Saturdays have been taken over with sporting events…It’s so nice to be able to spend time together on Sundays with absolutely no agenda.
