It's been a great month-- and I mean REALLY great month for our YW group. Almost entirely due to our Girl's Camp experience. Wow- talk about a fun week and a week full of bonding. The girls went up there knowing very little about one another and feeling not very close.... they came back down as best buddies and it's made all the difference in the world. I'm so so grateful that we have no more awkward moments on Wednesday nights or Sundays. It's now just close friends having fun! I'm so grateful I was able to attend for part of the week (thanks to Grandma!!!) I had SO much fun and grew to love the girls even more than I already did. I loved putting together the pillow treats and having a talk with the girls prior to camp about reaching out to each other and making it fun for all (Be The Reason Someone Smiles Today).
This month we also took on a Book of Mormon Challenge in which each girl committed to reading the book of mormon by the end of the summer. I went a little crazy with the silly BofM memes I found on-line and used to decorate! I love memes. I even found hilarious ones to print for around our house, completely unrelated to the Book of Mormon challenge- haha! But the activity was so fun... after the spiritual moments- we decorated cakes using scenes from the book of mormon..... ya, that was fun. A member of our Bishopric judged the finished products. We also put together a fun swim party at the end of the month with the YM. My girls helped me create a cute Smores Bar. Loved it!
