Absolutely loved our Marston family Christmas party this year. We took on less then we had in years past, but it seemed appropriate with all the craziness happening in normal day to day life to just keep it simple! So fun to relax in the hot tub and pool (which was heated to 90!) and to spend time chatting, playing with the dogs and eating delicious food prepared by Grandpa! A favorite for our whole family is Grandpa's prime rib (the kids call it Grandpa's chicken). It was nice to have Cady, Troy's girlfriend, join us this year. She and Troy had ignored our rule to skip sibling gifts in leu of contributing towards and putting together a gift for a family in need. They came with amazing gifts for all of us! Beautiful blankets for each of the kids and also Cady had created a darling piece of word art for Blake and I. It was really sweet and the kids were thrilled. Fun to open our gifts from Grandma and Grandpa! Hot wheels tracks, A yarn kit and darling container to store it all in, My little ponies, gift cards! And so fun to have a Disneyland day to look forward to this spring! We were spoiled as always. After dinner and presents we played christmas games, danced with Aunt Stacy, and watched "Elf" a tradition! We chowed down on all sorts of delicious delicacies Stacy had brought from various LA bakeries. In the morning we enjoyed a pancake breakfast, swiss pie AND fondue! Haha... good thing we had the pool to work off all of those extra calories. We all enjoyed our time together very much and felt very blessed. It was a wonderful Christmas party!
