Happy Halloween!

Halloween 2016 was a memorable one!  Let me tell you a little about the morning of.  We woke at the crack of dawn to watch Dane perform the Thriller Dance at the school halloween parade.  The parade starts at 7:45am....so it was a busy morning parking and arriving on time.  Dane did a wonderful job and I was so proud of him.  But his teacher showed up with pink eye and not feeling well at all.  She told me that no one had signed up to be room mom and she was too sick to do anything for the party.  ACK! I told her I'd put a little party on!  Shouldn't be too hard!?! I would run to the store and grab a few goodies and then head back for the party at 10.  In between 7:45 and 10 however, Grant stated that he felt sick and needed to go home.  Actually at precisely 8am in the middle of the school parade and in front of the entire school Grant cried and wailed saying he was sick!!!  THANKFULLY, it was a false alarm. I drove him home and Evelyn babysit.  Perks of home school.  I ran to the store and then the school and put on a party.  Phew!  It was a busy morning.  The afternoon was much more enjoyable. We played Booo Opoly-- a fun game Grant received for his birthday. We drew ghosts, cats, bats and spiders.  We made chili for dinner and put on our costumes and make up.  We  headed to the Konolds for a fun night of celebration. The kids trick or treated for hours with the dads while the moms cleaned up dinner and relaxed inside the warm cozy house.  Then the kids set up the exchange store and traded candy.  It was a super fun night and ended much more relaxed then it began!  I do love Halloween... however, I think I'm kind of glad  it's over now.
