Stevens Family Reunion!

My brother, Dave, organized an amazing family reunion this summer.  It was more relaxing for some than for others---haha!  My kids and Jamie's kids are at an amazing age to go on an outdoor/camping adventure.  My brothers and Michelle's kids on the other hand.... not so easy!  But they were troopers in every way and we will always look back on this reunion with fond memories and lots of laughter and joy.  Huntley Lodge was amazing!  We each had our own 2 bedroom cabin with great bathrooms and black out curtains.  The older girl cousins and older boy cousins also had their own cabin.  On top of all this.... there was a humongous lodge for the entire family to gather and eat meals together.  It was really the perfect set up!  There was an above ground pool, hot tub, volleyball court, hiking, bbq, pool table, movie room, and so much more.  The kids were in heaven spending time with their cousins and playing at the campground.  Adventures included:  a trip to Ensign Ranch-- church property-- so fun to go on an hour long horse back ride through the woods!  We canoed and went down the giant slip n slide.  It was a really fun day hanging out at the ranch.  Another special adventure was the hike we took with MOST of the kids!  It was pretty steep and pretty long so it was quite the feat to finish all in one piece.  But the kids loved it.  Beforehand, we put together a trail mix station and all the kids created their own trail mix and grabbed a water bottle for the trip.  Everyone was very proud of how tough the younger kids were to hike for 2 hours!  It was awesome and the views were amazing.  We had the chance to take our big family picture! If you can believe it.... Jamie posed the family and then we just set the camera on a timer.  It worked! And turned out great. One day we spent at Cle Ellum Lake and had an awesome time swimming and racing jet skis.  The kids adore boating and jet skiing so this was a favorite for them.  In the evenings, we all enjoyed playing volleyball, card games, learning line dancing and eating yummy dinners!  It really was an amazing reunion.  Best part of the trip was 100 percent the people involved.  I adore my family.
