Sweetest lil'A is TEN! Cannot believe my baby is so old but she will always be my little sweetie pie and the cutest thing on earth. So blessed she to have her for my daughter. An excerpt from her journal:
Anna- you have grown so much this year in so many ways. I’m so incredibly proud of your sweet and funny little personality. You bring so much happiness and joy to our family with your caring personality and kind heart. You have matured so much this past year- it’s hard to believe you are in your double digits now! But in some ways, it’s easy to believe….. because you are so grown up! This year you have tried so many new things and have really opened up your heart to adventure and hard work. You performed in your first dance recital for your hip hop class. After the recital, you immediately pronounced that you’d like to join three class instead of one so that you’d be in three numbers for the upcoming recital next year. It was so cute. And you weren’t just whistling dixie! You actually did start lyrical and jazz along with hip hop and you’ve had a blast learning and growing in dance. This is your favorite activity by a long shot. When your girl friends asked if you’d like to join their soccer team, you were all for it! And you play really hard and focused. When Kate asked if you’d like to join her basketball team, again- you were excited and eager to try something new. You re-joined girl scouts and next week you are going on your first sleep away for horse camp! SO PROUD of all of these new adventures you’ve been having. You are never even in the slightest bit worried or scared. Such a contrast to years prior when you were not as interested in new experiences.
Anna- you are an incredibly social little girl. More than any other human in this family- you love people and want to be with your friends at every moment in time. There is rarely a time when you’d prefer to just hang out at home. You are always up for anything, anywhere and with your girlfriends especially. You have a big group of girl friends in your fourth grade class- along with the girl scout group. You all have been friends since kindergarten and really enjoy one another. Your closest friends at school are Maddy, Hadley and Reagan. Along with these buddies— your very best friends is Kate Judd. You two are together almost every day. You love being at her house because she has a baby sister Sophie who ADORES you and who you spend a lot of time with. You wish more than anything that you could have a baby sister! You are also still very close with Nora and Millie Doud and love them to pieces. Though you don’t get to see them as often, you love whenever you have the chance to play together.
Anna- your favorite thing to watch on TV is YouTube…. You love to watch little snippets of families like the Labrants, Miranda Sings, and Mariah. You love painting your nails and listening to music; you love playing make believe outside, swinging, zip lining, creating bracelets for your friends, reading graphic novels, and cuddling Louis. You spend SO much time cuddling Louis and you are by far his favorite human. Your favorite treat is snickers and crumbl sugar cookies. Your favorite dinner is spaghetti and meatballs. You love Panera Mac n cheese and chicken noodle soup. You also love 7-11 slurpees. You are obsessed with shoes and save all your money to buy Uggs boots and Doc Martin’s shoes. You are very stylish and love to put together your outfits. You love to practice dance routines and play UNO— especially with Grandma. You just recently bought Dane’s rock collection and you love to play make believe with the rocks and pretend you own a store, or that they are magical stones. You love Charlie Pluth and Harry Styles. You love Sabrina Carpenter and anything top 40.
This year you traveled to St. George Utah for a tennis camp with mom and your sibs. You visited Las Vegas for Spring break and had the best time ever at the Four Seasons! You went skiing in Brianhead A LOT and beach camping in Carlsbad. You visited Grammy and Papa in Seattle and had the best time ever with all your cousins. You loved spending the week with the Paces at Pismo Beach even though most of us had Covid at the time! ACK! You loved our trip with Grandma and Grandpa to Midway, UT to river raft, zip line, rodeo, visit the Olympic Park in Park City, and watch the Stadium of Fire in Provo! You went to LA to see the RAMS play in the finals!!!! You are super good friends with Eric Weddle’s daughter Camri— so you had a blast riding up together to watch the game at the new stadium! You also LOVED visiting with the Rustands and watching a USC verses BYU game in LA with Grandma! You have been a busy kid- despite the pandemic restrictions. So happy that this month you FINALLY get to go to school without a mask after two years.
Anna- we love you so incredibly much. So grateful for your quirky personality, your long winded stories, your social graces, your kind heart, your dancing feet, and your overall sunshine-y countenance. You know how to cheer each of us up and you love us despite everything. We love you because you are incredible in every way. Happy 10th birthday cutie pie!
