Evelyn is so amusing these days. Most of what she says is her own unique interpretation of me! For example, I always call her "my special little girl". The other day, I heard her call Blake, "my special little Daddy".
A phrase I hear myself saying to her on a regular basis-
"we have no time for this Evy!" Last night I asked her to come with me upstairs for a story and then bed. She promptly replied, "I have no time for this Mom!" as she ran in the opposite direction.
I have a few cliche remarks I make in response to her silly behavior-particularly when I'm in a hurry. Many times I'll say, "not funny, Evy."
Yesterday, I was laughing with Grandma and I heard her say
"not funny, Mom."
I guess what I'm trying to say is:
A. I might need to watch what I say more carefully and
B. Red headed toddlers say the funniest things!
