Camp Baker

Well... as some of you know, we decided to go camping this weekend.
Our "camp-out" was a blast! If your definition of camping is driving an hour north to escape the city, arriving mid-day to meet up with friends and neighbors , eating delicious meals prepared by the nearby lodge, swimming all day at the gorgeous Lake Sebago, spending all morning packing up your sleep-over gear, only to make a quick decision to return home before bedtime approached... and then finally- unpacking everything and tucking the children along with their parents into their nice and cozy beds by 11pm. Well... if that is your definition of camping~ then all went smoothly! Ha~!!

All's well that ends well- and we did have a great time at Camp Baker for the day, despite our foiled plans to stay the night. I guess the thought of containing Evelyn while she attempted to throw small items into the fire pit and then the added
idea of a long, cold, sleepless night ahead changed our minds. Camping is a whole new experience when you add two children to the equation! But we really had fun with our new friends and the lake was absolutely beautiful.
