My parents and younger brother, Michael, came out to visit us this week. We had such a great time! I'm sure many of you can relate to how wonderful it is to have family around. Unfortunately, living so far away, it is not as convenient for our family to come out as it used to be. So, the trips may be fewer and farther between... but still wonderful none the less. It is so great to watch the kids with their grandparents, and our siblings. Evy and Dane loved every minute of the visit. They had three full-time playmates to tend to their every need. Evy can't stop asking, "Where's Grammy and Papa? And Uncle Mike?" She is not sure what to do with herself now that they are gone.
It was my Dad's 55th birthday on September 1st- so we were thrilled to celebrate with him. I think my parents look so young and cute- not nearly their age. They are such great parents and I love them so much. It was a blast to have my little bro along as well. He is a crack-up and had us all in stitches the whole time. He really had the magic touch with little Dane. He was able to get him to fall asleep in his arms all weekend.
We were very busy and did all sorts of fun things. Evy rode her first roller coaster- and loved it! We went to Little Italy and Chinatown in downtown Manhattan. We rode the tour bus around Manhattan and I learned a lot about the city that I hadn't known before. We went to Coney Island, Staten Island, Brooklyn Heights, and just walked around all of my stomping grounds in Brooklyn. It really was a wonderful visit. We love having visitors! Thanks Mom and Dad.
