I love Valentine’s Day~
the fun parties, flowers, sweetheart candies, playing the newlywed game with friends (a tradition we’ve had since dental school), red gummy hearts, sending Valentines to family, strawberry waffle breakfasts. I usually put together a playlist of fun love songs and listen it all month. It’s a great time of year.
We have a system worked out with our friends downstairs in which we swap babysitting for date nights. It's perfect because now we can actually afford to go out! I gave Blake a few ideas for our big Valentine date; top of the Empire State Building, riding a horse and buggy around Central Park, a fancy Manhattan restaurant, etc.
In the end, it doesn’t really matter what we do. Hate to sound cliché, but I just love my husband and find myself laughing and feeling happy whenever he is around. He is a kind and giving man and ultimately, he is the reason I love Valentine’s Day so much.
