We headed into the city today to spend a leisurely Saturday at the park. Wait… I should correct myself. Rarely is there an activity with children in Manhattan that could be categorized as leisurely! But all the same, our goal was to relax at the park, just our little family. It didn’t take long for me to realize that a visit to Central Park in the spring is quite a treat. Here were the top 5 highlights of the day:
- Beautiful blooming cherry blossom trees
- Ice cream for sale on every turn
- Hula hoop instruction provided by Caribbean drummers
- Children’s Zoo (how can you not love the statue over the entrance?)
- And once again, TULIPS make an appearance on my blog. They were in bloom everywhere!
And Dane would add to this list the big, steep slide at the playground! We had a wonderful day.
