Spring is finally here in New York City. The weather report is predicting sunny, 60 degree weather all week! We are all very happy, the kids and I.
I am happy because we can go on long walks again and enjoy picnics in the park with friends. I’m happy because Blake has spring vacation days coming up, and because there are tulips to purchase all over our neighborhood in every color imaginable. I find it hard to resist a $4.00 bundle of tulips (finally something affordable in NYC!)
The kids are happy because, well…. they are kids! And kids are almost always happy, right? They can run around in the dirt and the grassy fields, feed the ducks in the lake, fly kites, and blow bubbles at the park.
Yes… we made it through our first New York winter. And now it’s spring time and all is well. As Robin Williams once said, “Spring is nature’s way of saying, 'Let’s party!'" We are definitely ready for the party to begin.
