A stroller in the park

I'm sure many of you can relate to this:  younger sibling plays with older sibling's toys- even if these toys are gender-specific .  And I know it's very natural, but I find it so funny. Dane's favorite toys to play with right now are "my little ponies."   Now, in his defense, he's not combing their hair...  he loads them into his big toy train and transports them around the house.  The poor little guy, I don't buy him many toys because we just don't have the space for it... so he has to make due.  He also enjoys dress up beads (what 18-month old wouldn't?), groovy girls, and as I've mentioned before, the Wicked Witch of the West barbie doll.

Today we brought Evy's doll stroller to the park.  She loves pushing her baby all around, pretending to be a mommy.  But after she'd deserted the stroller for her beloved tire swing, Dane happily took the wheel, so to speak.   He threw the baby doll out,  and placed his big toy truck in the unoccupied seat.  He strolled his truck all about the play area for quite some time... very content.

My kids crack me up sometimes.
