…is something we like to make around here, and I’ll explain why. Not only is it one of Blake’s favorite desserts, but I found this really great, easy recipe- I’ll post below- and it requires one bowl for the bananas/pudding layer, and one bowl for the cream cheese/cool whip layer. This works out wonderfully for my two children. Evelyn is fond of the pudding and Dane, the cool whip. They both lick their own bowl and I am able to hear absolute silence. No wailing, no cries, no tattling. It’s heavenly. And that is why we like to make banana cream pie. Try it out for yourself!
Easy Banana Cream Pie
1 graham cracker (I use frozen pie crust)
1 cup water with 1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 bananas
1 sm. package instant vanilla pudding mix
1 1/2 cups milk
1 (8 oz) sour cream
1 (3 oz) cream cheese
1 small package cool whip
Slice bananas into lemon water- be sure bananas are coated with lemon water; drain well. Mix together milk, sour cream, and pudding mix. Gently fold bananas into pudding mixture. Put bananas and pudding in crumb crust.
Beat cream cheese until smooth; mix into cool whip and put over pudding mix. Chill.
