Last week’s assignment required that we take the subject of “people” and try to make the image speak in some way to our own personal style. Really challenging assignment for me! This picture of the teens on the stoop is a classic Brooklyn scene. My soft focus wasn’t a great idea, but I was in a hurry, as I felt awkward asking these guys to pose (with my kids in the stroller right next to me.) Typically everyone around here is pretty cool about posing. Luckily, I’m not a shy person, and I just ask for permission. I’ve never had anyone say no.
