Yesterday was so much fun! For Dane’s birthday party, we celebrated “cookie” style. Grandma LOVES cookie monster and because of this- my kids have both been exposed at a very young age- and they love him as well. Who doesn’t love cookie monster anyway? He’s hilarious! The party was such a blast. I sent out these invites with Dane in his Halloween costume. The party was very small- just the Bachmans and Dane's little friend Ellie upstairs. We played tons of fun cookie games- pin the cookie on the Monster’s mouth, duck-duck,COOKIE! My favorite was our cookie eating contest! The kids’ stuffed cookies into their Dad’s mouths to see who could eat the most in a minute. It was pretty funny.
The party favors were chocolate chip cookies, of course!!
You may notice in all of these pictures that Dane has a dazed look on his face. I really couldn’t tell you why. He was just in shock, maybe, that all of this attention was directed at him!
But it was Addie’s birthday as well and so she shared in the birthday celebration. She’s not as big a fan of cookie monster as Dane, so Cathy made these amazing princess cakes for the kids. I can’t believe her talent! Dane was pretty enthralled by these doll cakes! Serious sugar high for the kids. Luckily it was 45 degrees out (THANK YOU!) and so Blake took the kids to the park to run off their energy after the party. Fun times!
