The kids had so much fun at the Bachmans on Valentine's day. Cathy and I put together a little Valentine’s party for them. Favorite activities included decorating sugar cookies, and putting together candy necklaces. They also enjoyed looking around the room for hidden hearts, and decorating good old fashioned paper valentines.
I think my kids were mostly excited by the Bachman’s toy kitchen and by baby Colby. He is very entertaining to both Dane and Evy.
I love this last picture of Dane “smiling”. I’m not sure he understands the concept of the smile. Obviously, I am always taking pictures and asking him to smile…and I usually accompany my request with hand gestures. I stick my pointer fingers into my cheeks to emphasize what I expect from him. Meanwhile, he gives me a blank stare, and so the cycle continues. But lately when I’ve asked him to smile, he’s mimicked my crazy behavior- and so it’s cute. He believes smiling entails poking your cheeks with your fingers. Oh well.
