This weekend we headed out to New Jersey for a fun stay at the CoCo Key Resort—an indoor water park attached to the Marriott. My family had raved about the indoor water resort near them in WA, and so I’d been eager to check this out for a while. With Troy visiting, it was the perfect time—3 adults to 2 kids, enough said! Evy and Dane really enjoyed the water slides- there was even a pool with a huge pirate ship playing movies on the sail. Troy gave Evelyn swimming lessons- and she was proud of her success. Dane had fun following sis around everywhere she went.
Evy talked Troy and I into going down the huge, “scary” slide at the very top of the park. I’m so glad she did talk me into that because it was such a blast. Troy made the observation that being here with us this past week has made him relive his childhood through cartoons, music, games, and other various activities. It’s very true; children are such a source of fun- you can’t help but turn into a big kid when you are engaged in “kid-like” activities.
On our way home we stopped briefly in Philadelphia. Troy had never visited. We didn’t stay long as the weather was FREEZING. But, I took a quick shot of Independence Hall. Last time we visited, I didn’t have my wide-angle with me. The sun was shining over the snow and it was a beautiful day.
