There are not many perks to having a high risk pregnancy… let me tell you! But, there certainly is one that stands out in my mind. And that one perk is that my pregnancy has been so highly monitored-- it has been such a blessing and so much fun. I have seen an ultrasound of my little guy every week of this pregnancy! And I can even see the images in 3D if I ask my nurse. These wonderful ladies are all so kind and have become very good friends to me throughout this process. I’m actually going to miss my weekly appointments with them.
There are few times in life as exciting as those last couple of weeks before you give birth. I can hardly sleep thinking about what my little baby will be like, how the birthing process will go, how I’ll be able to handle the transition, how the kids will feel about another member of the family, etc. It’s such a big change and more than anything—such a tremendous miracle and blessing. I can hardly wait!
