Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a such a nice day with our friends across the hall. Last year Megan had a newborn, so I tried to make the day easier for her by having it at my place and so forth. This year I had the newborn and so she completely took over and I barely did a thing. Grant slept in the swing across the hall for most of the meal—we didn’t have a monitor, so we just kept our apartment doors open.

The dinner was delicious and the kids had their usual fun together. We learned our lesson this year by adding a side of mac n cheese so that the kids would eat more. I guess turkey and mashed potatoes are not at the top of some children's list. Despite our best efforts, about 20 minutes after our meal, the kids asked for a snack, claiming they were “starving.” Imagine—starving after being provided a thanksgiving feast! Well, luckily we had a delicious chocolate torte cake for dessert. No child should be made to starve on Thanksgiving day! Hope everyone had a nice one.
