A fantastic surprise for the kids last week….Grandma and Grandpa drove
down to throw a back to school Dr. Suess party! As always, Grandma pulled out all the stops with all sorts
of fun Seuss games and activities.
I think best of all, as the kids walked in they were thrilled to see
their grandparents dressed as Thing 1 and Thing 2—haha! It was so cute! And then the kids were able to dress up
in their own Cat in the Hats; they were presented with binders full of fun
activities and goody bags! Of course
we had many party themed foods such as Truffala Seeds (skittles), Hop on Pop
Popcorn, Goldfish in a Pot, and the main entrée of Green Eggs and Ham. It was fun to remember and focus on
some of Dr. Suess’s book themes- and the kids discovered that so many of them
could apply to the new school year, with friends, with school work, etc. It was a wonderful event and we thank
Grandma and Grandpa very much for putting on such a hoot of a party.
