Grant's Halloween Party!

How do I put this? I think we probably went a little overboard this year for Grant's birthday! And by "we" I mean "me", and maybe Grandma as well!!!   She planned out all of the fun activities for his family birthday party... just as she did last year.  And they really were so much fun!  Earlier in the month as Grant and I browsed a Halloween costume catalogue, he identified a darling little Frankenstein costume and pronounced this to be his get-up choice for Halloween night.  I kind of ran with that idea and so his birthday theme was born-- a MONSTERLY party it was.  As is becoming tradition, the kids put together three goodie bags full of fun stuff that would later be ditched on door steps as the grand finale.  This is truly the highlight of the party!  Thanks to Grandma for getting the kids sooooo excited about it all! They each chose one friend and it was a thrill.

Other fun games included pumpkin bowling, slippery eyeball search, caramel apple dipping, very fun mummy wrap, skeleton search and puzzle, and witch pitch. We enjoyed delicious hot dogs and chicken sandwiches, cheeseballs, grapes, and boo mix for dinner.  Grant adored his presents.... the BatMan Bat Cave from Grammy and Papa, a life-size batman figurine, a football from Stacy and Troy, much needed clothing from Grandma and Grandpa, his picture book and some avenger figures from Mom and Dad and a ball from sis and bro.  Fun party!
