Merry Christmas!

It was such a sweet Christmas this year... Anna's first!  The kids are at the PERFECT age and help me to enjoy the holiday season that much more.  They are interested in the music, the carols, the various traditions that we've established.  They are the ones reminding me  that we must do our activity advent, that we must bake cookies for the neighbors, think of a family to help out, ect. ect.  We tried earnestly to scale back the gifts this year for Christmas morning... discussed with the children the fact that Christmas was about the Savior's birthday, not our individual birthdays. They got it! They were thrilled with the gifts they received and Blake and I felt much better about the whole thing when all was said and done.  We loved everything about our Christmas... french toast breakfast, fun cozy new pajamas, phone calls to loved ones, dear friends over for prime rib dinner and then just lots of quality time to be together.
As 2012 comes to a close I can think of only one word to describe our life.... blessed!  The miracle of Anna Paige,  all of the children's health in general, Blake's practice, our new community and life in San Diego, extended family support, visits and love.  We feel so very blessed and so very grateful for a wonderful year.
