Favorite Things: Exploring! Anna, you are such a curious little girl and you adore crawling around the backyard and exploring every nook and cranny. You especially love to pick up little rocks and hold them in your tight fists. Occasionally you'll attempt to put one in your mouth…but you've learned that once you've done this, that's the end of that, as mom or sis will quickly remove the rock from you. Because of this, you are content to just hold on to those rocks, you're no dummy! And boy, do you ever get angry when we have to take them away! You love being outside on the trampoline with Evelyn…. this is probably your favorite time of day. You enjoy her company so much and when she and Dane come home from school your whole body bounces with excitement! You love little people toys and whenever you've spotted one, you are quick to grab it up. You love pretend phones… you know just what to do with them!! I think your favorite dinner is french toast! You love bananas and cheese and yogurt. You enjoy music and love to dance. You love practicing your new skills-- whether it be walking, or clapping or waving-- you are very coordinated and careful with your movements. You try again and again to get it right and typically are not frustrated by much. You love to take naps and sleep at night, you love little babies and children. You love when your family sings to you and snuggles with you.
Ways you have grown: Biggest news this month-- you are walking!!! A few weeks before your birthday you began taking small, shaky steps-- but you fully preferred to hold on to mom or dad's hand-- or to the furniture to steady yourself. On your birthday, you gained more confidence and started taking 5 to 10 steps on your own and you wouldn't believe the excitement this constitutes in our family! You have three little cheerleaders clapping and screaming with joy every step of the way! In fact, now after every step you take, you clap and squeal with delight at yourself. You are in the 30th percentile for weight at 18.6 pounds and at the 70th percentile for height. You are growing perfectly! You now drink milk and eat most everything that our family eats. You took to milk fantastically and have not had any problems. Your sleeping is excellent as you typically go to bed at 7pm and wake at 7am. You take two naps at 9:00 and 1:00. You are starting to babble and speak a little. You can say "mamma" "dada" "eh" for Evie "dae" for Dane. You wave to people both hello and goodbye. You dance whenever music is on!
Memories: So fun to watch you go to town on your little cake. I think you'll fit right into this family with your love of sugar!!! We themed your birthday party- "you are my sunshine" because well, you really are the sunshine in our family. You truly light up our lives with your sweet little personality and spirit. You are a hugger and a cuddle monkey. You are adventurous, but not too much so. You are happy and full of life. You cause little to no problem for your mother and bring joy and happiness to your father who you have wrapped around your little finger. We love you Anna Paige!
