Spring Break

A few fun pictures from our Spring break last week. We spent time with friends at the park, went to a fun filled day of gymnastics camp, set up a few play dates with school mates and then spent the rest of the time at Grandma and Grandpa's house!  It was a very relaxing and very wonderful week.  With a warm toasty pool.... Anna was in heaven, swimming around in her little float.  Of course Evelyn and Dane loved every moment of swimming with lil' sis.  She is such a fun and cute little girl.  Although she tried to escape the tube once or twice, for the most part she was content to swim around and watch the kids.

For my kids....it wouldn't be spring break without Chuck E Cheese, you know!  So, that was our next stop!  Followed by a delicious pancake and eggs dinner by Grandpa.  My kids' very favorite meal!  We enjoyed accompanying Grandma to her church easter egg hunt and finding TONS of eggs filled with candy!  We also enjoyed a special park near their home that just so happened to have a fantastic handball court attached!  Handball tournament was at the top of Dane's list of things he wanted to do over the break... so mission accomplished!  The kids enjoyed decorating pillow cases with fabric markers. They had done this once before a few years back, but this time around Grant could participate as well!  And Dane was set on creating a race car.  They turned out very cute!!

Before heading for home, the kids thrilled in a fun little easter egg/basket hunt around Grandma and Grandpa's home.  They were excited to find new spring outfits, easter books, candy and toys!  But the hunt is always even more exciting than the actual surprise at the end for my kids.  They loved every moment of it.  I'm always sad to see spring break come to an end.  It's so fun to have freedom from schedules and activities.  I love having the kids home... no homework or piano practice.  Seeing friends and family more.  It makes me excited for the summer months to come!
