Grant

Oh boy... this little guy has really been a handful the past few months! He is truly a funny and wonderful person whom we all adore.  He is always trying to joke and make us laugh, and he adds quite the zest to our life.  That being said.... the kid has boundless energy! Along with a stubborn little mind set.  He is so accident prone, it's actually funny.  Many times he will fall, bump his head, spill, trip, what have you.  It's really cute because after a spill he'll immediately jump right up, look at me and say "I'm ok, mom!'  He never really cries or gets worked up about it.

And he likes to love Anna a little TOO hard at times-- which upsets his mother.  Also of note... I think he spills his bowel of cereal about 5 out of 7 mornings per week. Which also upsets his mother.   When he gets angry-- watch out!  He is likely to get aggressive.  These days he loves to go up to kids his own age or younger (or even older) and identify to them that he is better at such and such, or bigger, or older.  He's really going through something...poor little guy! He doesn't ever mean any harm-- he's just very full of energy and has trouble controlling his impulses!  I haven't been able to put my finger on the problem quite yet.  A phase? A developmental stage? Is he feeling out of sorts being the third child?  I'm not sure.
I guess my goal as his mother is to work on my level of patience... not to get too angry when dealing with all of his little mishaps, fits.  I can see the amazing potential inside of him and I admire and love him more than I can say.  I think that is our gift as mothers.  Despite what's happening on the outside, we can see the inside so clearly and we love the inside.  We can see how amazing our children are and that they are just in need of a little extra tutoring, extra love and care.  That's my goal this summer when it comes to Grant.

At his preschool graduation with Elizabeth and Ben where he performed a dance to Wipe Out that was so very cute I could barely stand it!
