Camping (Stevens' style)

Yep.... we decided a while back that camping with kiddos under three just wasn't for us! I know some people do it, but it sounds so terrible forgoing sleep out in the cold with a baby! So, we like to set up camp for the day... roast marshmallows, hike around, go on a frog hunt, tell fun stories by the fireside, eat way too much junk food. Then pack up and head for home!  Fun to see the kids' personalities out in this setting.  Evelyn was eager to listen to stories of her mom and siblings growing up, Dane wanted desperately to find a few frogs, Grant just happy to be outdoors and to eat as many chips as one little human being could possibly consume, and now a new little outdoor enthusiast! Anna was loving sitting on the camp chairs and watching the fire.  She is such a good baby!

 We love Nisqually camp ground-- it's a beautiful forest with so many fun activities around every corner. My kids LOVED our "camp out!"
