Our Fourth of July was fantastic this year! We braved the six hour road trip up to Utah to enjoy the weekend with our friends in their beautiful St. George home. Both Blake and I questioned the idea as our last long road trip did not go over so well. Something about long car rides and one year olds?? Yes, we haven't traveled over a couple of hours in the car since Grant was one-- that's how deeply we were scarred! He cried the ENTIRE trip to Tucson (8 hours). YIKES. But this drive was definitely worth the risk. The kids enjoyed every moment swimming with their friends, off-roading in the desert hills, trying out some of the yummy restaurants that mom and dad loved so much in their younger days and exploring all of the fun sites St. George has to offer. It really was wonderfully fun and we enjoyed every moment.
