What a wonderful visit we had with Grammy and Papa in town. It was so fun to have them here to watch Dane and Grant’s soccer games and Evelyn’s gymnastics. Of course the kids were extremely pleased to show off their passions and skills. We loved celebrating Halloween together and going out for a fun night on the town complete with our favorite Mexican restaurant and then Golden Spoon (my personal fav). We loved walking around the local Farmer’s Market and visiting the temple. And then it was awesome to have my Mom stay on for the week to help me organize all things Christmas! We worked like mad putting together lists for friend and neighbor gifts, shopping (mostly for my own christmas gifts!) , crafting (home-made cone trees), and baking (toffee, fudge, and cookies). It was a wonderful big dose of Christmas way ahead of time, but somehow perfectly fitting! It always takes me about a week to adjust after my Mom’s left town. She’s so helpful and fun to have around... it’s hard to go back to reality afterwards! Such a nice visit and as always we closed out the week feeling grateful to have such amazing family.
