Happy Thanksgiving!

We enjoyed our Thanksgiving holiday so much this year.  As the kids get older and easier to handle in public and during travel, mom and dad are able to relax a bit more!  We began the vacation with a Christmas shopping date night (with Anna) while the bigger kids went to see Frozen with Grandma and Grandpa.  A new FAVORITE movie for sure; the kids have begged to go back and see again!  On Thanksgiving day we traveled up to Palos Verdes as we typically do to enjoy the delicious dinner at the club there near Betty Jean and Dick’s home.  The kids are now of the age that they recognize a true feast when a true feast is presented them!  They had such fun picking out tons and tons and tons of not only turkey, but also steak-- a bigtime favorite!  Unfortunately, none of the children are big on potatoes, so it was mostly just steak, turkey and rolls... and dessert.  SO much dessert!

And we only had one minor catastrophe when Grant’s tummy began to hurt and therefore required an extended visit to the little boy's room...this causing Blake to miss the yummy dessert buffet.  Meanwhile Anna also had a tummy ache and subsequent diarrhea explosion all over herself and her mother.  Finished the whole country club experience off nicely.... my walking out of the club with a naked baby wearing only a diaper and then poop all over my dress. Aw well!  It IS getting easier... it IS, it IS!

After dinner, we arrived at Betty Jean and Dick’s lovely home and enjoyed games and company of our family-- some of whom we rarely get to see and love chatting with.  Betty Jean had generously and so thoughtfully put together darling gifts for the children which they were thrilled about.  Anna was quite good... in fact, all the kids were and this is where we felt that it really is getting easier to travel with our little crew of children.  Anna fell asleep on the way home and we enjoyed listening to Christmas music and feeling happy and blessed.
