Easter weekend

I have found that the Saturday before Easter Sunday is a wonderful time to go on egg hunts, receive a visit from the Easter bunny, and party with friends!  That leaves Sunday to focus on the real celebration and special meaning of the holiday.  So the kids were thrilled to find new swimsuits, goggles, chocolate bunnies and one small toy (yarn for Ev) in their baskets this year.  They enjoyed breakfast and egg hunting with friends, another fun tradition.

 Later in the day we had such a great time celebrating Grandma's birthday!! She had requested In-N-Out burgers and the new Muppet Movie... which was very very cute!  Anna even did a good job sitting through!  The kids had each created a coupon for Grandma to entitle her to one special activity they had decided upon.  It was pretty cute and I think Grandma liked it!  

The kids were spoiled by a wonderful egg hunt Grandma had put together with all sorts of cute clues to help them find their Easter baskets.  This is always a favorite for them and a tradition they look forward to throughout the year.

We enjoyed spending Easter with our extended family in LA.... it was such a treat to see everyone and feast on a delicious dinner together.  All in all, a very special Easter weekend.
