Dane enjoyed this past Spring season of soccer... he was able to play with good friend, Tenzin Dahl and Coach Tim for his third season in a row. The team was first in the standings at the end of the season and Dane was sure hoping to be the Championship winner at the tournament last weekend. Unfortunately, it came down to penalty kicks after a 2-2 tie and Goldrush came in 2nd place, darn it!
But they played well and it really has been such a joy to be a part of such a wonderful rec league. After the tournament, the kids enjoyed a fun donut party and celebrated a great season together! We thanked Coach Tim for all of his time and efforts. Grandma and Grandpa came out to watch... along with the Stevens family who were in town visiting for the week. It was a fun day, despite the loss for Dane. Actually, he handled it really well and I was very proud of his good attitude. He is an amazing player and I couldn't be more proud of his leadership and skills out there on the field. Go Dane!
