Our trip up to Seattle this year was wonderful, as always! So fun to stay with my parents in their beautiful home. So nice to visit with my brothers and sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews! We are always able to fit so much into the week-- picnics at the park, baking with Grammy, swimming in the hot tub, visits to the farmer's market for huge snow cones, hikes, sleep-overs with cousins, vacation bible school, lots of baby snuggling!
One of our favorite traditions is riding the ferry over to the Ol'Swimming Hole on the island. We spend the day out there swimming, canoeing, eating, playing in the sand. It's always so beautiful. My Mom is so kind to give up her entire week.... planning outings and cooking for five extra people! This year she had just finished putting on a Stake Girls Camp! And a week after our trip, she was on the hook for a Stake Youth Conference! And yet still, she managed to keep her cool and enjoy our vacation with us! My Dad made the boys dreams come true taking them for frog hunts in the woods and crafting a marshmallow shooter!
Every year, traveling with the kids becomes easier and this year was definitely much more enjoyable in that regard. Anna is a good little toddler and Grant is now so independent! The boys enjoyed spending time with Liz and Julie and June... Ev enjoyed hanging with Katie and Adam. She actually spent almost the entire vacation over with the Paces! It was pretty cute to watch the cousins together. Love when I am able to spend time with my very special family. They sure know how to have a good time!

The kids were so excited to see Daddy a week in to our vacation! He flew up for the family reunion.... good times!
And on our last day in town we enjoyed such a special treat of visiting with our great friends the Bruces and the Howeys! Old friends from dental school... it was especially fun for the kids to meet up!
