Wicked Oz

Oh man, was it ever fun to watch our little Evelyn in her first real play, "Wicked Oz" a few weeks ago.  The girl has talent and I'm not just saying that because I'm her mom.  She really could act and she has a beautiful voice which she has diligently worked on the past few months with her amazing voice teacher!  The play was a darling spin off of Wizard of Oz and Wicked.  Evelyn scored the part of Dorothy and opened the play by singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow".  Loved all of the cute songs, especially "ease on down the road".  I loved seeing Evelyn's confident little self with her new friends, many of which were much older than she!  The whole week was made possible by Grandma who found the camp, funded the camp and allowed Ev to stay with her the entire week!  It was a special time.  Of course the kids and I loved driving up and spending a few days lounging around the pool, playing ping pong, watching movies in Grandma and Grandpa's bed!

The whole experience was such a blast....I don't know that there's anything I enjoy more than watching my kids perform! They are such cool little people.  I'm always so proud of them.
