Evelyn spent her 2nd Annual- Summer week at Grandma's house!! Since that time, she can often be heard uttering the words... "I just wish I were back at Grandma's house!" To say she had the time of her life is an understatement!! Shopping, nails, eating out, The Pageant of the Masters, Sawdust Festival, Doheny Beach, and backyard swimming. It was a dream come true for one little red-headed girl. And this year, Evelyn's best friend Ella Rustand flew out for the occasion as well! This year, at theatre camp, the kids put on the production of "The Little Mermaid". You can imagine my surprise when Evelyn called home on Monday night and told me she was cast as ARIEL! I was thrilled for her! She could hardly believe her luck-- it was a dream come true! Ella was a mermaid as well-- her sister and the pair were as cute as can be. The production was fabulous and I was beyond proud of Evelyn and all of her hard work. She truly was a natural up on stage and blew me away with her beautiful voice and skilled acting. Haha... in my humble opinion! But seriously, she was awesome! After the performance, we had such an awesome afternoon swimming at Grandma and Grandpa's house, and eating a yummy BBQ Grandpa had cooked up! It was a wonderful experience. So grateful to Grandma and Grandpa for hosting Ev and Ella for the week and providing such special memories. Hoping the tradition continues next year!
