SUCH a fun night to watch Evelyn as "Sally Brown" in "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown." She had done this play last year (she starred as the Little Red Headed Girl) but his year was a great treat because of her more prominent role!
I can honestly say that I don't know of anything I enjoy more than watching that little girl up there on stage. She has such a great stage presence and seems so happy and full of life! She is not scared of anything-- and she has an awesome way of getting into character and staying that way throughout the show. It's a lot of work, a lot of memorizing and much stress and anxiety the week beforehand! I admire her talent so much.
It was so wonderful to have all of her friends and family there to support. Evelyn could hardly believe her eyes when friends from church arrived whom she had not even told about the show! Word had spread and we were so grateful to have the love and support. Grandma and Grandpa, plus Ev's best buds were there-- of course, and even the boys' friends showed up to watch. It was the perfect night.... our girl felt like a star, and she deserved it!
PS the dress was made by my mom! Isn't it to die for??
