April Fool's Day

Aw... my favorite time of year.  I just love playing tricks on my kids.  This is nothing new.... I've loved teasing and tricking since I was a youngin'!  Some sort of twisted genetic code.  This year we had all sorts of fun.  My personal favorite is the masks I collect 1/2 off after Halloween.  This year I scored a wonderful ape mask and I hid around the house (outside) at dusk, banging on the windows and scaring the living daylights out of the kids who were innocently playing in their bedrooms.  I also obviously use a mask to wake up the kids in the morning!

Favorite tricks were:

Beiberizing Evelyn's room;  and then I had to do something fun for the boys, so I put up a million pictures of Ms. Trunchbull from Matilda in their room.  Also hid awesome pictures of Pennywise the clown for Evelyn to find-- she's terrified of him!  Froze Dane's hat, and Grant's socks.  Put food coloring in cereal bowls which didn't become apparent until they stirred their milk.  Haha! I put in creepy fake teeth when I went in to teach in the kids' classrooms-- they were embarrassed of me.  Grape tomatoes instead of cookies in their lunch; my kids absolutely love getting the mail... so I hid a bunch of citrus fruit from our trees in the mailbox for them to find instead of mail.  Man, I'm hilarious!
