After our Alaskan cruise, CRAZY enough, Papa picked us up and took us to the Seattle Marriott where we signed the closing papers for our NEW HOME! The sellers were in such a hurry, we had to get it done right then and there! It was wild, but it all worked out and we were able to stay in Seattle one more week before heading home for the summer. We hadn't been on dry land but one or two hours before Uncle Dave called and told us he'd bought a new jet ski and wanted to take us out on the lake. We were thrilled. Growing up, our family had a boat, so I did a lot of jet skiing and boating and inter tubing. I was excited for my kids to try it out and have the same kind of fun I remembered. And boy- did they ever love it! They had the time of their life and BEGGED to go out again!!!! It was a super fun afternoon and then a yummy bbq with Grammy and Papa afterwards. The next day we boarded the ferry and headed off to Anderson Island and the Swimming Hole! Our annual tradition! It was a beautiful day full of sun and warmth. The kids loved every minute of swimming out to the big slide and playing in the sand. I loved the yummy German food Uncle Dave always buys beforehand. And just sitting and chatting with the family. It was a perfect day.
We had the chance to meet up with Aunt Michelle, Olive, Scout and June the next day at Silver Lake (half way between my Mom's house and Michelle's). The kids swam and enjoyed the day with the Lauper cousins. We visited the Howeys up at Lake Sammamish and had so much fun playing soccer, and seeing all the home renovations Eryn had worked on the past year-- the house looked amazing! Next, we stayed a little while with Aunt J and had fun playing with Aidan and hiking around and watching movies and relaxing! We were so grateful we had this second week to just be with the family and enjoy time together. It really was a perfect trip all in all and I feel so blessed by these special memories we have together. Love my family!
Haha-- Jamie has this in her house.
