Service Night

Love our Christmas traditions and this one if a favorite!  Every year we get together and put on a service night in lieu of gifts for each other- we donate money to purchase blankets and other items to those in need.  It really is a special night and one that brings me such great happiness.  It is easy and no fuss.... hot chocolate, cookies and work!  Our kids have gotten so good at tying blankets and writing sweet notes to children in the hospital.  They are pros by now and have it down pat.  This year we added a blessing bag station- so the kids assembled 20 blessing bags for homeless people who we pass along the street. This tradition is the perfect way to begin the holiday season.
