Grant's Baptism

What an incredibly special day for our family when Grant was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. He was so excited and Blake and I were so very proud of his decision and the wonderful young man that he is.  Grant was thrilled to have Grammy and Papa, Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Stacy here for his big day. The baptism was private- so he was able to choose his speakers and he asked his Grandma and his Papa to speak.  Both did a marvelous job and the spirit was so strong.  Evelyn sang "The Miracle" and Grandpa and Grammy said the prayers.  Grant invited all of his little buddies- the Furhmans, the Jones, the Douds, the Barthalamuez, Millers, Kuletos, Ashcrafts, Joffs, and his friends from school- the Brinkleys.  It was a special ceremony with Blake baptizing and presenting Grant with the gift of the Holy Ghost.  It was special to share the gospel with the Brinkleys who are not members of the church and who enjoyed being a part of his day.  After the baptism, we came home and enjoyed a delicious tri-tip with home-made rolls, potatoes and salad and then a big pizza cookie and oreo cake for dessert upon Grant's request.  Loved this day and will not soon forget the spirit that was there and the love I have for Grant and for our family and friends.  So blessed to have the gospel of Jesus Christ in our lives.
