Spring Break Trip 2019

This year for Spring break we planned a road trip up to Zion's National Park!  Blake and I had hiked the Narrows YEARS and YEARS ago and it was one of the best memories of our newly wed days!  So we hoped to take the kids up there and make fun memories with them:)  And we definitely did just that, although the trip didn't go quite as planned- that's for sure!  First of all, the Narrows was closed due to the high water levels and that was a big bummer!  Second of all- Evelyn wasn't able to come with us because of her upcoming play and inability to miss a weekend of rehearsals so that was a huge disappointment!  Thankfully, Grandma came to the rescue to watch over her!  SO grateful for her sacrifice of time and energy to come down for the week and handle all things Evelyn!

Despite all of these things, our trip was still a tremendous success in my view!  We loved traveling up to St. George with the Jones and visiting the waterfalls and reserves!  We loved hiking around the red rock, canoeing and paddle boarding and kayaking!  Cliff jumping, Swigs, Pizza Factory and jet skiing!  We absolutely LOVED spending a few days in Zion's and being able to shuttle directly into the park from our hotel.  What an amazing place and a fun adventure for the kids to hike and be surrounded by such a view of nature!  We loved sharing the trip with the Jones and had a great time with their family, joking around, swimming, playing football, eating ice cream and hiking around.  On the way home, the kids had a blast walking the strip, watching the Bellagio fountains, visiting the Hershey and M&M Factories, finding souvenirs for their friends in the little shops!  What a fun, late night out!  Can't believe our kids are old enough to stay out till 11:00pm on the Vegas strip.  Love our sweet crew minus Evelyn.  Can't wait to go back and this time actually hike the Narrows!
